Carbon filtration for removing liguid chemicals from your water

Whole house filters
Whole house carbon filters

Carbon filtration is the best way to remove any liquid chemicals from your water!

Whole house carbon filter prices start at $600.00

Price varies depending the size of the filter to service the number of people in the home.

In-Out carbon filter

The least expensive type of whole house carbon filter, is the In-Out carbon unit. Water goes into the filter unit and water comes out. There is really not much to it. The down side to the in-out filter setup is, it does'nt flush itself and the carbon should be change out, once it exhausted. yearly carbon replacement can be, as much as $380.00 depending, on the size of the unit.

Another style of carbon unit is an automatic flushing carbon system such as the AquaTek Pro line carbon unit. This is the most common unit, people purchase. The unit has a computerized Pro Line control valve that backwashes and flushes the carbon bed periodically. When using an oxidizer in combination with the flush cycle, the carbons life is extended and this will save you money. Instead of adding new carbon to the system every year, your carbon could last as long as six years depending, on how destructive the chemicals, such as chlorine is. If you are on a yearly maintenance plan, we test the water after the carbon unit to check for chemical pass-through; if we see chemicals getting through, we know it is time to change the carbon.

Carbon is not only a chemical sponge but, also a great way to eliminate certain orders and after taste. Iron will often leave an after taste in the water as well as Hydrogen sulfide. When we test the water, we know will cause these situations and will select the appropriate carbon or use a carbon mix to eliminate the problem.

Carbon can also be used with other types of carbons and other types of filter media, to remove turbidity, chemicals, iron, hydrogen sulfide and other water contaminants. When carbon is mixed with other types of media, we refer to this as being a mixed media bed. The ability to mix carbon filter media with other types of filter media, allows us to tackle heavy contaminant situations.

Carbon units can be used for well water and city or county water.

A water test will determine the best carbon system for your home or business!
